Executive Board

Co-President: Samantha Brody sb2518@barnard.edu
Hey, I'm Sam Brody co-president of the transfer alliance. I'm responsible for overseeing and managing the general body and executive board. I help keep everything organized and delegate tasks so that everyone feels involved with the club. I transfered from Colgate University. This year I intern part-time with a non-profit organization. I'm also a memember of the Macintosh Student Activities Council and tutor highschool students for the SAT's as part of Let's Get Ready, a community service program at Barnard. Even though I'm originally from NYC I love to get out and do things beyond Morningside Heights. Next semester I plan to study abroad in Cameroon and although I will miss all my favorite transfers, I can't wait for my trip!

Secretary: Briana Harper bh2183@barnard.edu
I am the secretary of the Transfer Alliance. I facilitate communication between transfers and the executive board along with keeping meeting notes and other files and contracts. I am also on the academic committee on which we are establishing a tutorial booklet on all the steps and procedures of becoming a Barnard Transfer, including class selection, registration and how to get around campus. I transferred from Syracuse University. I am involved with Columbia Club Water Polo and The Barnard Store on campus. I am a Political Science and Economics major. I am outgoing, love exploring the city and traveling abroad. I am opinionated about politics and sustainable development practices. I relish in picnics in the park and think peanut butter mixed with chocolate is brilliant.

Co-Marketing Director: Christina Rohrmann cr2260@barnard.edu
Hi, I’m Christina, one of the two Marketing Directors of the Transfer Alliance. As Co-Marketing Director, I work to publicize events and involve the greater Barnard community in the Transfer Alliance. As part of the academic committee of the Transfer Alliance, I am excited to make the transfer process easier through a helpful academic guidebook. I transferred to Barnard from UMass, Amherst. This semester, I’m interning in Chelsea at a non-profit art gallery. I enjoy running in Riverside Park in between classes and exploring Central Park during my free time. I’m an art history major with a minor in possibly English or History. I hope to see lots of new faces at the club meetings!

Co-Marketing Director: Amanda Arrington aa2397@barnard.edu
I am the Marketing director. The marketing director is responsible for publicizing all events including important meetings. They will focus on coordinating co-sponsorships and involving other community members in all transfer alliance projects. I transferred from The University of Missouri in the fall of '05. I am an English major. I am currently interning off campus at the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation as a writing intern. I love to meet new people especially people from the Midwest! When I'm not in school, I like to spend time traveling, skiing, relaxing, and reading. I don't believe in starting the day without coffee and I love watching Grey's Anatomy.

Tresurer: Rebecca Estes estes.rebecca@gmail.com
As the Transfer Alliance's treasurer, I keep track of our budget, help allocate money to activities, events, and the like, as well as generally work with the other exec board members to keep the Transfer Alliance organized and productive. I'm originally from northern Virginia; I transferred from the University of Virginia last semester and am majoring in political science. Outside of the Transfer Alliance, I cover grad schools for the Columbia Daily Spectator and occasionally babysit through the Barnard Babysitting Agency. I love cheese of any kind, my favorite color is green, and I will hopefully be spending next semester studying abroad in India.
